Why we run discovery before we quote
Aarav DesaiFOUNDER & CEO
Clients sometimes ask for a number in the first call. We understand the impulse. Budgets need approving and boards need answers. But a price without discovery is a guess, and guesses are expensive for both sides.
What discovery produces
- A prioritised product roadmap with a first release defined
- A technical architecture and risk register
- A cost range and staffing plan you can take anywhere
- Prototypes tested with real users where the risk is usability
What it costs
Two to three weeks and a fixed fee. Everything produced is yours, and roughly one in five discoveries ends with us recommending a smaller build, or no build at all. That is the point.
“The cheapest software is the software you decide not to build.”
